Syed finished his BS in biochemistry from Rice University in 2012. From there he went to one of the best medical institutes of the world, UT Southwestern, to study medicine. He will be starting residency training in July of 2016 in Emergency Medicine. He has currently been invited to interview at programs like Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Duke, Baylor, UT Southwestern amongst others for residency training.

He is passionate about teaching, has years of teaching experience, and has mentored many students in the past to get them into their programs of choice. He also works as part of the admissions interviewers for Rice University, and has interviewed dozens of applicants. Hence, he knows exactly what characteristics admission committees are searching for within applicants. He has been editing personal statements for many years now, many student's of Syed are today part of the top schools of the world.
